EDUCATION SEMINAR - WED, JUNE 11 - BEGINNING CONDITIONING FOR YOUR DOG

Educational Seminar: “Beginning Conditioning for your Dog” with Connie Schulte, DPT, CCRP

It is easy to keep young active dogs in good shape but once they slow down from showing or even during ‘off season’, just like us, dogs lose muscle. Come join us for an interactive educational experience where you will learn exercises to do with your dogs of all ages.

The exercises will involve little to no equipment so getting started won’t be difficult. We will not be covering higher levels of fitness that requires additional equipment that you may be seeing on social media. Please bring your dog, treats, and water for them, and a chair for you if needed. This will be interactive, so you will be on the ground with your pet or we can modify and have you work from a chair. There will be question and answer time so you will be able to ask any specific questions you have about your pet or exercises to address specific issues.

Connie Schulte, DPT, CCRP has a doctorate in physical therapy and is certified in canine rehabilitation. She spent her early career treating people, but has been treating pets exclusively for the past 12 years. Canine fitness is a passion of hers especially as applied to older dogs.

Each includes an 8×10 sheet with information and/or photo for each memorial.

$25 for first memorial, $10 for each additional

Friday Evening – Semi-Formal

We will be hosting a Semi-Formal Reception to celebrate our Veterans, the “Best of the Best” and Junior Handlers.

The evening begins with cocktails (cash bar) and Hors D’Dourves, followed by the National Specialty Junior Showmanship competition,

Veteran’s Sweepstakes, and end the evening crowning the “Best of the Best” !

*The Best of the Best competition is invitation-only to qualifying Elkhounds that have won Best of Breed at a Norwegian Elkhound Specialty in the past 4 years, eligible to compete twice.

Don’t miss this celebration of the our Juniors (the future breeders and handlers),

our beloved Veterans, and our Specialty Best of Breed winners.
